Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a titled means which permits safe painting with a light operation without requiring building of a scaffolding, etc. by providing a painting part which is pressed to a steel tower member in alignment thereto and a painting tank to the top end of an operating rod formed of an electrically insulating material and providing an operating means for feeding forcibly a paint to the tank.

CONSTITUTION: A painting part 2 connected freely rotatably, via a universal joint 3 to the top end of an operating rod 1 formed of FRP or the like consists of a frame body 2a formed of PVC, etc. having a semi-arced section and a brush 2b as a painting body mounted on the inside surface thereof. A painting tank 5 is attached near the top end of the rod 1 and the top end of a paint discharging pipe 7 from the top end thereof is embedded in the brush 2b. An air pump 12 is connected to the tank 5 by means of a flexible air pipe 13 and an operating means 15 is connected to the rear end thereof. Such means is pulled up onto a steel tower. The operator standing in a proper place of the steel tower holds the rear end part of the rod 1, fits the painting part 2 to a steel tower member 4, holds the means 15 in its hand, and oozes the paint in the tank to the brush 2b by feeding forcibly air to the tank 5. Then the operator slides the brush 2b with respect to the member 4 thereby painting the surface of the member 4.
