Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a painted food excellent in clearness, useful in the food sector by putting into a packaging container a food and a bag filled with a gas-generating substance and provided outside with printed images comprising an edible ink followed by heating the whole package form.

CONSTITUTION: A bag 2 consisting of e.g. a plastic, filled with a gas-generating substance 6 such as water or sodium bicarbonate and provided with printed images 1 comprising an edible ink (e.g. monascus) is jointed to a closure 7 and put, together with a food 3 like boiled rice or rice cakes, into a packaging container 4 consisting of e.g. a metal or plastic. The resultant whole packaged form 5 is then heated with e.g. microwaves, effecting expansion of the bag 2 and resulting in quick adhesion between the food 3 and the printed images 1, thus obtaining the objective painted food.
