Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of required test pieces in the stage of forming a coated film on the test piece for electrodeposition painting by devising the disposition of the test piece and regulating the route for the electrophoresis of the electrified paint. CONSTITUTION:A test piece 4 attached to a spacer 3 by a double-coated adhesive tape to a spacer 3 is vertically immersed in an electrodeposition vessel 1 in which an aq. electrodeposition paint soln. 6 is filled. Said test piece is used as an anode which is the 2nd electrode. The test piece 4 is made into a cylindrical diphragm opened at both ends and is installed in the vessel 1 by projecting the one end thereof from the liquid surface and spacing the other end from the bottom of the vessel 1. The anode 2 which is the 1st electrode is disposed on the outside part of the diaphragm. While the liquid is stirred by a stirring spring 5 to the extent of avoiding foaming, the liquid temp. is maintained at about 30 deg.C and electricity is conducted thereto. The test piece 4 is taken out upon ending of the electrodeposition.
