PURPOSE: To provide a pallet eccentric load detection device which can prevent a pallet from falling down and loads from being out of their shape by detecting the eccentric load condition of the pallet.

CONSTITUTION: This eccentric load detection device is provided with limit switches 34 where the height of a detection arm 33 is set at the roughly same height as the upper surface of a lifter 9 which lifts up and down a pallet loaded with loads vertically mounted at both the ends of the lifter 9, and a controller 22' which judges if the pallet is in an eccentric load condition by the on/off operation of the limit switches. With this constitution, by the operation of the limit switch 34 when the pallet is lifted up by the lifter 9, it can be judged that the pallet is in an eccentric load condition. It is, thus possible to prevent the pallet from falling down at the time of giving and receiving the pallet and loads from being out of their shape at the time of conveyance due to the eccentric load of the pallet.
