A machining table 12 of a laser machine for machining a workpiece 16 supported on a pallet 14 is additionally provided with a pallet storage device 24 of a pallet stocker 20. The pallet storage device 24 is provided with two upper and lower stage storage parts 25A, 25B for storing pallets 14A, 14B in upper and lower stages. A first elevating device 28 is provided for elevating the pallet storage device 24 so as to dispose the respective storage parts 25A, 25B into a delivery height position corresponding to the machining table 12. A second elevating device 35 is provided for elevating the pallet 14B stored in the lower stage storage part 25B of the pallet storage device 24, between a workpiece takeout position for taking out the workpiece 16 from the pallet 14B, and a storage position of the pallet 14B stored in the specified storage part 25B.
