Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure torsional stiffness of a vehicle body while suppressing increase in weight and to improve resistance of a cabin front surface during a collision with another vehicle.SOLUTION: A dash panel 20 is constituted of a dash panel outer 12, a cowl panel 13, a dash panel inner 14, and a stiffener 22. The dash panel outer 12 is erected and extends along a vehicle width direction. The cowl panel 13 connects upper edges of the dash panel outer 12 and the dash panel 14 together. The dash panel inner 14 is arranged apart and rearward from the dash panel outer 12 and faces the dash panel outer 12. A dash panel inside space 21 is defined and formed inside of the dash panel 20. The stiffener 22 extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction between its front flange part 24 which is connected to a rear surface of the dash panel outer 12 and its rear flange part 25 which is connected to a front surface of the dash panel inner 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
