Abstract:
An absorbent body (2) of an absorbent article (1) is provided with an absorber (5) having an absorbent sheet (51) which is disposed between two fiber sheets (511, 512) and which comprises particles of an absorbent polymer (513). A back-side outer covering body (3B) is provided with a back-side extending part (39) which extends downward from a side seal part (S). The back-side extending part (39) is provided with a back-side first stretchable region (X1) which extends in the lateral direction (Y) and which is stretchable in the lateral direction (Y). In a planar view of the absorbent article (1), the back-side first stretchable region (X1) does not overlap with a lateral-direction-(Y)-wise central region (5A) of the absorber (5), but overlaps with a side region (5B) which is adjacent to the central region.
