Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet aligning mechanism that can appropriately align a plurality of sheets while suppressing the device from being enlarged in size.SOLUTION: On a placement surface can be stacked and placed sheets 8A exhausted downward from a sheet exhaust position. A front-alignment plate 150 can align a front end surface of a sheet bundle 8 placed on the placement surface with a rear surface 150A. In a state where a bundle operation portion 230 is in a position adjacent to the front-alignment plate 150, a rear surface 231A points to the same side as the rear surface 150A does. The rear surface 231A includes a part which is arranged in a region in a vertical direction from an upper end part of the rear surface 150A through the sheet exhaust position and opposes to the exhausted sheets 8A in a state where the bundle operation portion 230 is in an initial position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
