PURPOSE: To surely arrange paper independently of the toughness of the corner of a copying paper by setting the first - third stop positions for a paper arranging member.
CONSTITUTION: For a certain paper size, a swing shaft 502 (paper arranging member) stops at a position (first stop position) keeping a certain interval from a copying paper which is discharged, by a size shifting motor 515. Simultaneously with the drop of the copying paper for which discharge is completed to a pin 350 rear edge starting-up part 508, the swing shaft 502 is moved to a copying paper side, and managed (second stop position) by the pulses so that a certain biting quantity is kept from the edge surface of the copying paper. The swing shaft 502 is stopped (third stop position), keeping a temporary copying paper size width, when returning after pushing the copying paper, and returned to a constant position. Accordingly, the trouble that the copying paper which is once arranged is separated again from a pin fence 450, because of the existence of the corner of the paper, can be prevented.
