To provide a paper carrying device capable of sorting paper into a plurality of discharge trays.
The paper carrying device is provided for carrying paper while sorting it into the plurality of discharge trays. The device includes a flapper 12 for guiding the paper into the plurality of discharge trays by changing its angle, a carrying roller 13 for discharging the paper moved along the flapper into the discharge trays, link members 14a-14d connected to the flapper and the carrying roller for changing the angle of the flapper by the rotating operation and changing the position of the carrying roller relative to the plurality of discharge trays, an energizing member 18 for energizing the link members in a first rotating direction, and an actuator 17 for rotating the link members in a second rotating direction opposite to the first rotating direction against the energizing force of the energizing member.
