To make easy the setting of paper sheets on a paper loading base, etc. without bending the same by providing relatively moving means for moving up and down carrying means to carry paper sheets on the paper loading surface, relatively to the paper loading part.
In setting paper P on a paper loading base 51, at first, a connection board 2 is retained, by a spring 5, at the leftmost postion, namely a paper loading surface 51a of the base 51 is positioned at a position upper than a top surface position of a paper feeding belt 53. Under the condition the paper P is set in the direction of arrow Y7, and in this case the paper can slide along the surface 51a and thus it can be set easily without being bent. After the setting of the paper Psd, a solenoid 1 is excited to thereby move the board 2 rightward against the spring 5. Then, an elevation base 4 is lowered through a swinging lever 3 and the surface 51a is moved downstream of the upper surface position of the belt 53, and subsequently the belt 53 is rotated to start paper feeding from the lowermost paper P.
