To provide a paper container produced by using base paper formed by directly laminating PET on the paper face without interposing an adhesive layer of a low melting point in between.
The paper container 1 includes a body member 3 and a bottom plate member 5. The body member 3 has an extrusion-laminated PET layer on one surface of a paper base material 7, the bottom plate member 5 has the extrusion-laminated PET layer on both faces of the paper base material 7. The body member 3 is cylindrically formed by superposing and bonding one chord on the other chord, the cut edge of the one chord is covered with the PET layer by skive hemming processing, and the cut edge of the other chord is exposed. The PET layer of one chord and the PET layer of the other chord are bonded by heat welding so that the side where the cut edge is covered with the PET layer comes to the inner wall side of the body member 3, and the body member 3 is bonded to the bottom plate member 5 by heat-bondign the PET layers together.
