PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of a gap between upper and lower guide plates and a side guide by protrusively installing guide members having elasticity on the side-guide side of the upper and lower guide plates and covering a gap between the side guide and the guide plates with the elastic guide members.

CONSTITUTION: Paper is nipped by a driving roller which protrudes upwards from a lower guide plate 5 and oblique feed rollers 8, 9 (pinch rollers) which protrude downwards from an upper guide plate 2 for aligning before it is conveyed slidingly along a side guide 10. Since elastic guide members (film members) 3, 6 are installed on the edges of the upper and lower guide plates 2, 5 protrusively towards the side guide 10, the upper and lower film members 3, 6 provide a conveying path between the guide plates 2, 5 and the side guide 10 as the side guide 10 is moved. In other words, a gap between the guide plates 2, 5 and the side guide 10 is covered with the members 3, 6.
