PURPOSE: To enable automatic loading of paper to the rear tractor only with the driving of the front tractor by making the paper delivery length between delivery projections of the front and rear tractors equal with respect to the printing section to contact/separation response to the printing section.
CONSTITUTION: An operator places and fixes a paper 5 on a paper holding base 18. The base 18 is turned to engage with a delivery hole of a paper 5 with a delivery projection 19 of a tractor 7. Then, the front and rear tractors 7 and 8 and a paper feed roller 14 to push are driven to feed the paper 5 into a delivery path comprising a mobile paper guide 12, a photosensitive drum 1 and a guide 10. As soon as the tip of the paper 5 reaches a roller 14, the paper is inserted between the tractor 8 and a paper holding plate 15. The paper delivery length for the delivery projection A of the tractor 7 and the delivery projection B of the tractor 8 are set at the multiple of the paper feed hole pitch so that the paper feed hole can engage with the projection 19 smoothly. Subsequently, the paper 5 is delivered with the tractor 8 and fed to a stacker 17 through a heat fixing device 9. Thus, automatic loading is completed.
