PURPOSE: To miniaturize the device by leading paper for which processing is completed to the upper part of a copying machine and discharging to the upper face of an original cover.

CONSTITUTION: A light source 31 and mirrors 32W34 of an optical system move in the direction of arrow mark D under an original platen 3 synchronizing with turning of a photosensitive drum 11, and scan a picture image of an original 4 placed on the platen 3. Light of a light source 31 reflected from the original 4 passes through a lens 36 and distributed on the surface of the drum 11 and exposes it to form an electrostatic latent image. The electrostatic latent image is made to a visible image by supply of toner from a developing device 13 and the toner is transferred on the surface of a copying paper at the position of a transfer charger 14. The paper that passed through a peeling roller 9 and a paper carrying roller 23 is heated and pressed by fixing rollers 8 to fix the toner and led in the direction of paper discharging rollers 24W26. By action of rollers 24W26, the paper is discharged into a paper stocker 2a from a paper discharging port 5.
