PURPOSE: To prevent incomplete paper feed, in a paper feed cassette for xerographic copy machine, by arranging an upper stopper for regulating the amount of cut sheet at a position lower than an end stopper.

CONSTITUTION: An upper stopper 107a is projected from the rear face of a cassette cover 107 such that when the cassette cover 107 is closed, the upper stopper 107a holds an end stopper 105 from the opposite sides thereof with the lower end thereof being positioned below the upper end of the end stopper 105. Since a paper is stopped at lower position than the upper edge of the end stopper 105 by means of the upper stopper 107a, the paper is held stably in a cassette case 101 even if the thickness of paper fluctuates or an impact is applied when the cassette is mounted. Consequently, paper can be fed reliably.
