The stop position accuracy of a printing paper can be improved by employing a paper feed control method and by equalizing a holding torque during the stop of each phase the paper feed control method can individually be set for the case where a stop phase current when the printing paper is stopped is stopped with the single phase excitation method, and for the case where such stop phase current is stopped with the double phase excitation method.
