PURPOSE: To make it possible to remove a jammed paper without breaking the latter, by providing such an arrangement that a paper feed system including a copying paper storing section, a paper feeding roller, paper conveying rolls and a guide plate may be pulled at one time.
CONSTITUTION: Upon occurrence of trouble such as, for example, paper-jamming, a handle 3 on an elevator tray 1 is pulled backward to extract the elevator tray 1 in the direction orthogonal to the direction of paper-feeding. Thereby, a copying paper setting bed 12 together with a paper feeding roller 6, conveying rollers 8a, 8b, and a guide plate 10, which are all incorporated in the paper setting bed 12, are pulled out. Accordingly, the paper feed roll 6 and the conveying rollers 8a, 8b are visible so that a jammed paper may be taken out without being broken.
