Abstract:
To prevent any defective paper feed caused by idling of a feed roller on a paper sheet surface, to achieve consistent paper feed irrespective of the kind of paper sheets, and to reduce generation of paper powder during the paper feed.
A paper feed device which feeds a plurality of paper sheets S stacked in a paper feed unit Y by a feed roller, and separates and feeds one paper sheet S by a separating means comprises a driving means to drive the feed roller, and a control unit which gradually accelerates the rotational speed of the feed roller from a stopped condition, and accelerates it to a target paper sheet feed speed.
