Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a paper feed roller superior in the frictional force with the paper by a simple and inexpensive method by executing the burring work with ceramic powder to an outer peripheral surface of a roller body made of a metallic material of predetermined hardness to form a frictional zone where a number of projections are scattered.
SOLUTION: A plurality of roller bodies 1 are rotatably supported by a supporting device 4 mounted in a machining chamber 3. That is, both upper and lower ends are fitted into a pair of opposite holding cylindrical tools 9a, 9b of upper and lower supporting plates 7, 8, and each roller body 1 is vertically supported. Then a burring machine 5 is operated to execute the burring work with ceramic powder S onto an outer peripheral surface of each roller body 1. A hydraulic cylinder 20 is operated to vertically oscillate a cylinder 15, and the ceramic powder S is injected to the outer peripheral surface of the roller body 1a from an opposite injection nozzle 16 for burring work. Whereby a frictional zone E where a number of projections are scattered is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the roller body 1, and the frictional force can be increased.
