Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder for reducing an operational force needed at the time of pulling out a paper feed tray, by reducing the force generated at the time of lowering a bottom plate in a process of transmitting in a direction to pull out the paper feed tray.SOLUTION: A paper feeder 3 comprises: a bottom plate 31 energized upward for raising recording media P loaded; a slide member 32 supported by a paper feed tray 30 movably in a direction Y normal to the movable direction of the paper feed tray 30 with respect to a main body of an image forming device 100; a connection member 33 connecting the bottom plate 31 and the slide member 32; and a guide member 38 disposed on a main body side of the image forming device 100 at an inclination relative to a detachable direction X, for guiding the slide member 32. When the paper feed tray 30 is pulled out from the image forming device 100, the slide member 32 moves in said vertical direction Y while being guided by the guide part 38, thereby to move the bottom plate 31 downward through the connection member 33.
