Title:
PAPER FEEDER FOR PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6027574
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To adjust the pressure of pinch rollers in accordance with the thickness of a paper or the number of sheets of paper and securely feed the paper, by varying the force of coil springs through changing a stationary position of a support.

CONSTITUTION: Both ends of the coil springs 8 are connected respectively to a bar 7, which is the support slidably held in slots 6, and pinch roller arms 5. When an operating lever 9 is turned, the bar 7 and an eccentric cam 11 are rotated as one body. The eccentric cam 11 is engaged to a pin 12 through one of recessed parts 13 thereof while receiving the forces of the coil springs 8. In this case, as the cam 11 is engaged to the pin 12 through the recess 13 for which the radial distance from the center of rotation of the cam 11 is larger, the force of the springs 8 is set to be stronger. Therefore, the pressure exerted on a feeding roller 2 by the pinch rollers 4 can be freely adjusted in accordance with the thickness of a paper or the number of sheets of paper. Accordingly, a thinner paper can be fed under a weak pressure, thereby preventing the paper from being wrinkled, and a thicker paper can be securely fed under a strong pressure.
