To provide an image forming device provided with a paper feeding device and capable of preventing improper sheet conveyance caused by going-back of a sheet due to self-weight of the sheet when a resist roller does not nip the sheet.
A conveyance roller 11 is arranged in a frame of a paper feeding cassette 270, and the conveyance roller 11 and the regist roller 12 are arranged with such interval that distance between the conveyance roller 11 and the regist roller 12 is shorter than length in the direction of conveyance of the sheet stored in the paper feeding cassette 270. For this reason, when a leading end of a sheet is caught in the regist roller 12, a trailing end part of the sheet is nipped and held in the conveyance roller 11 and is pressed against the sheet stored in the paper feeding cassette 270. The sheet is curved in the vicinity of a P part and is supported by pushing up the sheet itself due to stiffness of the sheet itself.
