Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device preventing a paper sheet from slipping even when making the curvature of a curved intersection area small.SOLUTION: In a paper feeding device 130, a pair of feeding rollers 14 (a driving roller 14a and a driven roller 14b) gripping a paper sheet P and feeding it, are provided in a paper feeding passage S. The paper feeding passage S is provided with an intersection area 131 where an upstream side feeding direction H1 and a downstream side feeding direction H2 of the paper sheet P intersect with each other at the halfway of the passage. The pair of feeding rollers 14 are disposed in the intersection area 131. When the pair of feeding rollers 14 grip the tip end of the paper sheet P fed from the upstream side, the driven roller 14b moves while gripping the paper sheet P, and changes the feeding direction of the paper sheet P to the downstream side feeding direction H2 from the upstream side feeding direction H1.
