PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of preventing a paper carrying device from being damaged even if a paper setting base abnormally rises to contact to the paper carrying device.SOLUTION: A paper feeding device includes: a paper setting base 21 capable of moving in a vertical direction by a drive device in a state of loading a paper bundle S; and a paper carrying device 30 disposed above the paper bundle loaded on the paper setting base 21 and in a suction position spaced apart as a predetermined distance from an uppermost surface of the paper bundle, and sucking a paper S1 in an uppermost position of the paper bundle to carry the paper sheet. The paper carrying device 30 includes a positioning plate 23 having pores 37, 37 in which front side gage pins 44, 44 formed projectingly in the horizontal direction are arranged along the vertical direction. The pores 37, 37 include a long hole part 37a in which the front side gage pins 44, 44 are capable of moving in the vertical direction. A pin holding member 45 contacted to the front gage pins 44, 44 from an upper side and an elastic body 46 pressing the pin holding member 45 are arranged.
