To quickly eliminate paper jamming in a paper processing machine and to minimize load on a roller generated by an open operation to eliminate paper jamming.

This paper feeding mechanism 50 of the paper processing machine 6 includes a paper feeding roller 41 for feeding paper one sheet by one sheet from a paper feeding tray 51, and a conveying control roller 42 provided on the downstream side to convey paper, while applying prescribed pressing force to the paper. The paper feeding roller 41 is held in a body 52 of equipment rotatably mounted in a housing 30. A projection part 53 is provided at the outer wall of the body 52 of equipment. A guide hole 55 is provided to regulate a moving range of the projection part 53, and a bearing member 54 is provided to bear a rotary shaft 42a of the conveying control roller 42. The bearing 54 is constituted to vertically move along an oblong hole 31 provided in the housing 30. By stepwisely increasing amount of force when lifting the body 52 of equipment in a single operation for rotating the body 52 of equipment, the paper feeding roller and the conveying control roller can be opened one by one.
