Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out stable image forming and editing by a paper folding device and an image forming device provided with the paper folding device with high accuracy to a folding position and folding and no defective conveyance.
SOLUTION: An upstream side conveyance path is formed of guide plates provided on both sides in a thickness direction of paper. A first stopping member is arranged in the conveyance path for abutting a tip of the paper and stopping it. Paper folded into two is conveyed from a roller pair composed of a pair of mutually pressed folding rollers while holding a deflection of the paper formed by the stopping member between the roller pair and forming a first crease. At least one paper folding means is provided composed of a downstream side conveyance path formed by guide plates provided on both sides in the thickness direction of the paper. A gap distance between both guide plates of the downstream side conveyance path is provided larger than a gap distance between both guide plates of the upstream side conveyance path with the roller pair in between.
