Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the frictional properties and compressive strength of a paper friction material by blending spherical particles with other starting materials of the paper friction material.
CONSTITUTION: Spherical particles as a starting material of a paper friction material are blended with other starting materials thereof to produce the paper friction material. The spherical particles are pref. of an org. substance such as a phenolic resin, an inorg. substance such as carbon or silica, or a mixture of such an org. substance with such an inorg. substance. The proportion of the spherical particles to be blended is pref. about 5 to 30%.
