To prevent the back end part sides in the conveyance direction of accumulated paper sheets from hanging down when the paper sheets are clamped and firmly bind the accumulated paper sheets.
A paper sheet processing device is provided with; a conveying belt 44 which conveys accumulated paper sheets; a reception stand 47 which receives the accumulated paper sheets conveyed by the conveying belt 44; a guide plate 59 which lifts upward the front end part sides in the conveying direction of the accumulated paper sheets received by the reception stand 47; a clamper mechanism 33 which pinches the accumulated paper sheets received by the reception stand 47 and curves the paper sheets concerned so that their approximate center parts in the conveying direction may project downward; a pushing-up guide 67 which pushes up the back end part sides in the conveying direction of the accumulated paper sheets based on the pinching operation of the clamper mechanism 33; and a belt wrapping mechanism 50 which wraps a belt 36 around the accumulated paper sheets whose back end part sides in the conveying direction are pushed up by the pushing-up guide 67.
