Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach an optical sensor properly for detecting paper fed in a paper taking-in apparatus for feeding paper in a transport pipe of a paper transport device for transporting paper by an air stream generated in the transport pipe.SOLUTION: The paper taking-in apparatus comprises: passage parts 40A, 40B interposed in the transport pipe and having an opening 44 into which paper is inserted; feeding parts 64, 64A for feeding paper from the opening 44 to inside of the passage parts; and an optical sensor 80 for detecting the paper fed into the passage parts and being fitted so as to be embedded in a wall part 40A of the passage parts. On a wall part of a part covering at least one of a light emitting part and a light receiving part on the optical sensor, a transit hole for light is disposed.
