Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach an optical sensor properly for detecting a paper sheet fed in a paper sheet taking-in apparatus for feeding the paper sheet in a transport pipe of a paper transport device for transporting the paper sheet by an air stream generated in the transport pipe.SOLUTION: A paper sheet taking-in apparatus comprises: passage parts 40A and 40B interposed in a transport pipe and having an opening 44 into which a paper sheet is inserted; feeding parts 64 and 64A for feeding the paper sheet from the opening 44 into the passage parts; and an optical sensor 80 for detecting the paper sheet fed into the passage parts and being fitted so as to be embedded in a wall part 40A of the passage parts. On a wall part of a part covering at least one of a light emitting part and a light receiving part on the optical sensor, a transit hole for light is disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
