PURPOSE: To produce a paper machine clothing without requiring cleaning for a long-time by interweaving a strand in the machine direction with a strand in the cross direction and by attaching a means for gradually and continuously releasing a processing agent.

CONSTITUTION: This paper machine clothing is produced by interweaving a strand 18 in the machine direction with a strand 16 in the cross direction and by integrating a woven layer made of spun yarns 12 and 14 into strands 16 and 18 through the yarn 12. A liquid processing agent included in lumens of hollow fibers 2 of the yarns 12 and 14 is gradually released from the open ends of the hollow fibers 20 so as to inhibit the deposit or accumulation of pitch and tar.
