This paper-making belt base fabric A comprises the first layer warps 11, the second layer warps 12, the third layer warps 13, the fourth layer warps 14 and the fifth layer warps 15, woven with wefts 2. The base fabric A is a single weft-quintet warps woven fabric having meshes of 68 warp×48 weft (fibers/inch). The first layer warps 11 to the third layer warps 13 are PET monofilaments having a diameter of 0.35 mm. The fifth layer warps 15 are nylon monofilaments having a diameter of 0.35 mm. The fourth layer warps are PET multifilaments comprising 384 PET monofilaments having a diameter of 40μm. The belt for papermaking comprises the paper-making belt base fabric and a coating resin layer, and can suitably be used as a belt for shoe press, or the like.
