To provide a paper money processor with excellent customer service capable of reducing a space and lowering a cost.
This paper money processor is provided with a paper money housing part 21 provided witch plural paper money housing chambers capable of carrying in and carrying away paper money for respective paper money kinds and a first control part 23 for performing at least an inverse exchange operation within an exchange operation for carrying away low amount paper money equivalent to the money amount of carried-in high amount paper money and the inverse exchange operation for carrying away the high amount paper money equivalent to the money amount of the carried-in low amount paper money.
