PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money processor capable of reducing a time required for the replenishment of paper money.SOLUTION: A paper money processor 10 includes: paper money cassettes A to D for storing paper money; a recognition unit 104 for recognizing whether or not paper money is normal; a money payment port 102 for, when it is recognized that paper money separated from the paper money cassettes A to D, and conveyed along a direction D2 to the recognition unit 104 is normal by the recognition unit 104, paying the paper money; a paper money cassette E for storing replenished paper money to the paper money cassettes A to D; and a conveyance unit 103 for conveying the replenished paper money separated from the paper money cassette E along a direction D1 to the recognition unit 104.
