PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the detailed check of the amount of money existing in a paper money processor provided with a recovery cassette.
SOLUTION: This processor is provided with a taking-in and carrying means which takes in and discriminates paper money thrown into a money reception hole 2 one by one and classifies it by denominations, plural denomination- classified storage means 161 to 163 which store return paper money out of paper money taken in by this taking-in and carrying means into a lower storage box from above to feed out it from below after temporarily holding it by denominations and are provided with separator means which can divide paper money in this storage boxes, a collective storage means 17 which stores non- return paper money out of paper money taken in by the taking-in and carrying means into an attachable/detachable storage box from above and can feed out it from above after collectively and temporarily holding it, a detailed check instruction means 37 which discriminates paper money in each storage means again and instructs the detailed check processing to settle the amount of paper money in the storage means, and a control means 38 which settles the amount of money existing in the processor based on the instruction of the detailed check from the detailed check instruction means.
