Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make rationally recoverable a damaged paper money in a paper money receiving and paying device.
SOLUTION: This paper money receiving and paying device is provided with a money receiving opening 2 which receives deposited paper money, an identifying part 4 which feeds the deposited paper money received in the money receiving opening by one piece at a time and identifies which denomination it belongs to and whether it is normal or damaged, a number of pieces of paper money storing part 5 which stores the number of pieces of paper money in each denomination and in the normal or damaged paper money on the basis of identification results by the identifying part, plural storing parts 61 to 64 which classify and store the deposited paper money on the basis of the identification results, a binding part 7 which receives and binds paper money fed from the storing parts as necessary, and a money paying opening 8 for throwing out paying paper money. In such a case, at least one among the plural storing parts is made a denomination mixture storing part 64 which stores damaged paper money in a denomination mixed state, paper money whose denominations are mixed in the storing part is successively fed and the denomination of it is identified by the part 4, and a controlling part 22 which carries the paper money of a denomination which has the most damaged paper money stored in the part 5 in it to the part 7 to be bound and also performs control so as to throw out the damaged paper money of the other denominations to the opening 8 in a mixed state is contained.
