Title:
PAPER, NONWOVEN FABRIC AND THERMAL ADHESION FIBER USEFUL FOR THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3423363
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain paper or nonwoven fabrics which is high in durability and excellent in environmental safeguard because of their high biodegradability by mixing cellulosic fibers with a specific aliphatic polyester fibers having high affinity to the cellulosic fibers and good hot-melting properties.
CONSTITUTION: 5 to 30wt.% of sheath-core conjugated hot-melting fibers containing, as the sheath component, the hot-melting component comprising a synthetic aliphatic polyester resin from glycol and aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, melting at 50<Tm1<180, preferably 80≤Tm1≤140°C and/or a polymer from aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid produced by microorganism and aliphatic polyester resin from glycol and aliphatic dicarboxylic acid melting at 100<Tm2<230°C where Tm1+20≤Tm2 are mixed with 95 to 65wt.% of cellulosic fibers such as rayon or pulp and 0 to 10wt.% of other fibers, heat- treated, adhered into sheets to give paper or nonwoven fabric of high water resistance and high biodegradability.
