To realize enhancement of quality of edge-cut booklet by stabilizing bending correction of the booklet conveyed to a cutting device in the cutting device for cutting the edge of the folded booklet.
The small opening of the booklet conveyed by a booklet conveying means is abutted on a leading end stopper to stop it and a movement means is moved and stopped at a position where the creasing part of the booklet is detected. After the booklet is pressed by a pressing member, the pressing member is raised by a predetermined amount, a clearance capable of passing with the booklet is formed between the booklet and the pressing member, the coordination member is moved to press the crease part of the booklet, the small opening of the booklet is abutted on the leading end stopper to stop it and bending correction of the booklet is performed. After the bending correction of the booklet by the booklet bending correction means, the pressing member of the pressing means is descended and the crease part of the booklet is pressed to be clamped. The leading end stopper is raised and retreated from a conveying passage, the booklet is clamped by the booklet movement means and is conveyed to the cutting treatment opening of the cutting device. Control for cutting the edge of the booklet is performed by the cutting device.
