Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision in counting the number of papers.SOLUTION: A cutting module 14 of a paper processing apparatus includes: a module control part connected to a system control device; a cutting part 21 for cutting a bank note to be a cutting object; a first shift sensor 31 arranged in the upper stream side than a gate 24 in a first conveying path 22; second shift sensors 32 to 34 sequentially arranged toward the downstream side from the upper stream side in a second conveying path 23 to before an inlet port of the cutting part 21; and an array-shape optical sensor 36 arranged between the third shift sensor 33 and the fourth shift sensor 34. A system control device counts the bank note entered the cutting part 21 on the basis of the detection of the bank note by each of the shift sensors 31 to 34. A module control part counts the bank note entered the cutting part 21 on the basis of the detection of a shape and a size of the bank note by the array-shape optical sensor 36.
