Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper processing device which has a function capable of increasing a cutting amount per one time, shortening cutting time and performing the cutting with preferable productivity even when the number of sheets of paper increases and the thickness of paper increases upon the cutting of a prescribed portion (small lot) of a paper bundle while subjecting a round blade to reciprocating sliding.SOLUTION: A cutting device applied for a small lot cutting mechanism of a cutting means provided on a middle stitching book-making device of a paper processing device is provided with round blades 301, 302 which are arranged on the upper surface side and the lower surface side of a middle-stitched booklet (paper bundle) 311 and are pressed by springs 305, 306 in the perpendicular direction with respect to a paper sheet of the booklet 311. When the round blades 301, 302 are moved in an outward direction upon stating of the cutting, the booklet 311 is cut into a cutting depth d1 by the round blade 301 on the upper surface side and is cut into a cutting depth d2 by the round blade 302 on the lower surface side and, further upon the movement of the round blades 301, 302 in the homeward direction, the booklet 311 is cut into a cutting depth d3 by the round blade 301 on the upper side and is cut into a cutting depth d4 by the round blade 302 on the lower surface side.
