To provide a paper processing device provided with a standby tray capable of improving paper loading property.
An upper paper feeding roller 24a and a lower paper feeding roller 24b constituting a paper feeding roller 24 are arranged in such a way that the directions of their tangential lines form an angle of depression α for a horizontal face. The standby tray 10 is arranged so as to position its rear end part below the paper feeding roller 24. The standby tray 10 is arranged with an angle of inclination β for the horizontal direction to support a paper sheet P while a tip of the paper sheet P is higher than a rear end. The angle of depression α and the angle of inclination β have the following relation, α<β.
