PURPOSE: To quicken an operation cycle yet speedier by performing an insertion process of the next ream simultaneously during operation of a delivery process.

CONSTITUTION: A mark 70, where stacked paper is sectioned at each specified number of sheets, is detected, and according to this mark, the next ream ahead is delivered while it is inset by an insert head 56. Next, the stacked paper 7 and this insert head 56 are made to go up at the same time. Forks 24, 25 are inserted into a clearance of the stacked paper 7 formed by ascension of this insert head 56 and delivered while insertion of the next ream 70 is parallelly operated.
