To finish the movement of paper sheets in a short time and to attain the shortening of arrangement time thereof by, when arranging an accumulating part above a feeding means and feeding the paper sheets classified and accumulated in the accumulating part to the feeding means again, enabling the fall and movement of the paper sheets from the accumulating part above to the feeding means below.
A first accumulating means 11 for accumulating paper sheets 2 after address codes thereof have been read is installed adjacent to and above a feeding means 1 and has a bottom plate 12 and holds the paper sheets in an almost standing position in plural classifying areas. The bottom plate 12 is movably supported, and when the bottom plate 12 is moved to the depth side, the boundary between the first accumulating means 11 and the feeding means 1 is eliminated, and the paper sheets 2 accumulated in the first accumulating means 11 can fall and move into the feeding means 1 in the same sequence as that in which they are accumulated in the first accumulating means 11. Therefore, since the need of moving the paper sheets by man power is eliminated and the movement is finished in a short time, the time required for the arrangement action can be shortened.
