The paper sheet counting and sorting machine includes: a machine body; a hopper which is provided in the machine body and on which a plurality of types of paper sheets are placeable; delivering means for delivering the paper sheets placed on the hopper; reading means for reading information of the paper sheets delivered by the delivering means; a plurality of extension stackers extendably provided in the machine body; conveying means for conveying the paper sheets from the delivering means to the extension stackers; communication means provided in the machine body and receiving the types or the number of batches of the paper sheets which are set by an electronic apparatus and sorted to the extension stackers; and control means for sorting the paper sheets to the plurality of stackers based on the types or the number of batches of the paper sheets received by the communication means or the information read by the reading means.
