When a main control part 31 is informed of the supply of the last 1,000 paper sheets, the main control part 31 sets a conveyance-controlling part for "a usual mode", in case that at least 100 paper sheets remain, and executes usual handling. That is, normal paper sheets are accumulated in an accumulation device 40 to form a bundle H, and the 10 bundles are mounted and then banded together to form a bunch. The conveyance-controlling part is set for "a normal paper sheet mode" in case that the number of remaining paper sheets is below 100, and all paper sheets P which are subsequently conveyed are accumulated in the accumulation device. That is when the number of the paper sheets which are accumulated in the accumulation device reaches 100, the 100 paper sheets concerned are banded together to form the bundle H. At that time, "a cutting mode" is set, and paper sheets P which are subsequently conveyed are not accumulated in the accumulation device but are cut. As the result of this, the remainder of the paper sheets does not exist.
