To provide a paper sheet processor for, even when any size of paper sheets are delivered by a delivery part, adjusting the delivery speed of the paper sheets so that an interval between paper sheets can be made close to a prescribed size, and for improving the processing efficiency of the paper sheets.
A paper sheet processor 10 includes: a delivery part 16 for delivering paper sheets stored in a storage part 14 one by one, and for changing the delivery speed; detection parts 50, 66, and 68 for detecting an interval between the paper sheets and the length of the delivery direction of the paper sheets; and a control part 60 for controlling the delivery part 16. The control part 60 controls the delivery part 16 to change the delivery speed of the paper sheets in the delivery part 16 each time the paper sheets are delivered by the delivery part 16 based on the interval between the paper sheets or the length of the delivery direction of the paper sheets detected by the detection parts 50, 66, and 68.
