Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic attraction type paper sheet separation conveying device to effect reliable separation conveyance without the occurrence of a double feed and non-feed.
SOLUTION: The topmost page 254 of a book document BO is turned over by the electrostatic attraction force of a turn-over belt 208 rockable around a drive roller 223 serving as an axis. Through, movement of a unit containing the turn-over belt 208 but not shown, the turned-over page passes through a gap between guide plates 227 and 228 and is detected by a page turn-over sensor 214. When the page is not detected by the sensor 214, it is decided that the page is not turned over and turning-over operation is effected again. During second turning-over operation, variation of a page turning-over condition, such as the increase of an electrification pitch on a belt 208, is carried out and turning-over operation is performed.
