Abstract:
To provide a simply-configured lock mechanism for a paper sheet storage device.SOLUTION: A paper sheet storage device (a bill storage device 5) is detachably attached to a processing device that processes paper sheets. The paper sheet storage device includes: an enclosure 50; a first storage part 51 provided inside the enclosure and storing paper sheets; a first conveyance mechanism 61 having a first roller (a feed roller 63) that conveys paper sheets, and throwing out the paper sheets in the first storage part to the outside of the enclosure when the first roller rotates at least in a throw-out direction; and a lock mechanism 8 having an electrically-driven actuator 81, and switched by the actuator between an unlock state in which the roller is allowed to rotate in the throw-out direction and a lock state in which the roller is prohibited to rotate in the throw-out direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
