Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a paper sheets handling device.SOLUTION: The paper sheets handling device comprises: a feed path including an insertion port through which paper sheets are inserted, for feeding paper sheets that are inserted from the insertion port, in one direction; a reader provided in the feed path for reading paper sheets that are fed in one direction; and an U-shaped discharge path including a discharge port for discharging paper sheets that are fed by the feed path, to the outside for feeding paper sheets that pass the reader, upwards and reversely to the one direction. The discharge path includes: a first roller that is disposed at a middle position between one end of the discharge path closer to the feed path and the discharge port; a second roller that is disposed in the discharge port; and a single drive source for driving the first roller and the second roller. Paper sheets are discharged by the first roller and the second roller that are disposed only at the middle position and in the discharge port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
